The Pousada Estremoz
is the result of the restoration of the magnificent 13th century Palace that King
Diniz (who also founded the Coimbra University) built for his wife, Queen Isabel
(who was canonized as Saint Isabel in 1625). The Pousada is located
within the original walls of the old quarter. This hotel offers a very
