The Pousada Porto (official
name Palacio do Freixo) was built in 1742, and is a wonderful
structure in the Baroque style. It was then later declared a
national monument in 1910.
The property
consists of two separate but interconnected buildings: the Palácio
(or palace), which houses the restaurant, bar, lounges and meeting
rooms; and the former Harmonia Flour Factory, where the bedrooms are
to be found, some of them boasting a magnificent view over the
river.
The wonderful setting makes this the ideal choice for those seeking
leisure pursuits in Porto, as well as a perfect venue for encounters
and meetings.
