 Pousada Obidos public areas
Pousada dining room Although the village was partially
destroyed by the earthquake of 1755 - it is today one of Portugal's
          most scenic and quaint.
          It is known
for its typical white houses with blue trim, the many
windows and balconies with flowers, and its narrow streets
paved in beautiful stone. This small village has innumerable cultural treasures, such as
          its 14
churches and chapels. It has an
aqueduct, a large lagoon where guests can go fishing and hunting, and the Bom
Sucesso´s Place, where the Royal picnics used to take place.
